"It has always been the hardest thing for me to talk about myself and my work, instead of letting my instrument do the talking. This time I decided to show you how other people describe me and my work." Kostadin Dimitrov
"When the Quality and the Art meet, then something new and different begin to take shape - it is KD.
The brilliant Bulgarian luthier Kostadin Dimitrov (KD) is specialized in making entirely handcrafted and luxury el. guitars and el. basses. He started making them in the beginning of 1997 with the idea to have unique and easily recognizable guitars and basses, which bear mark - handmade. Now he has over 25 completely different models, which can be seen in his webpage.
The main characteristic of his work is that he does not have a CNC router and he does not use any details made by such machine. Working all by hands like the old masters, following the luthier's traditions, using rare and his own precise selection of wood materials, he succeeds to unleash in his instruments distinctive character, specific sound and unique art-design vision
He builds every single instrument with care, passion and attention to the details which is a guarantee for quality for life." |
